About
Annie Tillotson is a Minnesota-based actor, singer, and dancer.
Raised in a music-loving family, Annie made her stage debut at age seven as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel with a children’s opera troupe. What began as a childhood adventure quickly became a lifelong pursuit. Since then, she’s been hooked on singing and acting in opera and musical theater.
Annie holds a B.Mus in Opera Performance from University of Northwestern – St. Paul, along with additional degrees in Electronic Media Journalism and Acting. She has continued to expand her performance toolkit through training in dance and stage combat, as well as a variety of other specialities like puppetry and circus skills.
Since graduation, Annie has performed widely in both musical theater and opera. She made her Minnesota Opera debut in Nymphs, Spinners, and Witches with Minnesota Opera and was most recently seen as Cassie in A Chorus Line.
Performing has also sparked a love of teaching, directing, and designing through an educational theater program serving students in grades 5 through 12. When not onstage, she can be found exploring the outdoors, studying new material, or drinking exactly as much coffee as her sleep schedule will tolerate.
You can see Annie as Rosalie Mullins in Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber’s School of Rock this coming June at Chaska Valley’s Family Theater.
